Have you ever wondered if you’re the only one who feels a certain way about your body? Many of us grapple with insecurities, especially when it comes to being naked in front of a new partner. As I age, I’ve noticed I’m harder on myself about my appearance, which makes me extremely shy about intimacy. Why do we do this to ourselves? We often become our own harshest critics. How can we overcome the stigma of loving yourself?

I think my main problem and where these feelings have started from is I have always been a curvier to slightly over weight sized figure women. For some reason we have been made to think that if we are not slim, well endowed and have perfect skin then we are disgusting. With that you get the love handles, the thunder thighs & oh yeah the lovely stretch marks. But I am sick of looking in the mirror and knocking every inch of my body like they’re things I should be ashamed of.

I know am not the only girl out there that has these problems. It’s about time we all started to boost & encourage each other to start loving our sexy bodies and not be ashamed to flaunt them.

Don’t get me wrong – I know it might seem hypocritical, but writing this article is my first step toward boosting my confidence, day by day. I hope it helps someone out there realize they’re not alone in feeling this way.

 

So girls lets do this! I am going to start this 5 step challenge and hope at the end of it we start to loveĀ ourselves that little bit more.

Guide to loving yourself: 5 Step Challenge

1. Positive Reinforcement

Every morning when you wake up say to yourself how amazing you are in everywhere and that today is going to be a good and happy day. Some positivity can always go a long way. I always say a positive attitude gives you a positive mind and a positive mind will always help keep your spirits up throughout the day.

2. Exercise

Start doing some sort of exercise per week. Whether it’s just going to the gym, doing a zumba/dance class, walking the stairs instead of the lift or even taking your dog for a longer walk around the park. Push yourself that little bit further in some way. Whilst this can help loose weight, it’s actually more to do with releasing more natural endorphins and healthy brain chemicals into your body.

3. Wear Something Sexy

Get yourself to your nearest mall and purchase some sexy lingerie. Whatever shape or size you our there is always lingerie out there for you. Its all about just learning about what shape and size will work with your body shape and so many shop staff will be able to advise you on this matter. Wear it anytime and anywhere. As long as it makes you feel more comfortable or confident get it on for work, the groceries shopping or even for date night.Ā  Trust me when I say any money spent with be worth it.

4. Makeover

We all know how great it is to get your hair or make up done. Even just going to get a full body massage can just make you feel so relaxed and refreshed. I know that work and busy schedules can stop us all from getting around to this. But we bloody well deserve to pamper ourselves from time to time. It instantly lightens our moods and makes you feel so fresh and new. Get that appointment, book it and treat yourself like the queens you are.

5.Ā  Self-Pleasure

Last but not least my favourite part of this challenge. Its time to get they masturbating skills going. Get yourself to your nearest sex shop that’s closet to you or highly recommend.
